Our aim is for you to go into labour well informed and with increased confidence.

As part of the consultation, our midwives will also carry out the scheduled check-ups and carefully document all important findings in the maternity record. In addition, we provide you with personalised advice on typical pregnancy complaints such as nausea, back pain or sleeping problems and give you practical help for everyday life.

Personal preparation for the birth

Personal preparation for the birth is also an important part of the programme. You will gain an insight into the birth process, learn about different birthing positions and be informed about pain relief options. We will cater specifically to your wishes and ideas. Please note that the midwife consultation does not replace a birth preparation course, but is a useful addition to it.

Topics such as nutrition and lifestyle during pregnancy also play an important role. We will show you how you can optimally support your body and contribute to the healthy development of your child. In addition, some of our midwives offer alternative treatment methods such as acupuncture or K-taping, which can alleviate discomfort and help you relax.

Reliable care even after the birth

Reliable care is also important after the birth. The postnatal period is a time for recovery and settling in with your baby. Our midwives will support you with breastfeeding counselling, caring for your newborn and postnatal recovery, among other things.

As the search for an aftercare midwife is often time-consuming, especially in Munich, we recommend that you make arrangements for appropriate care at an early stage.

The midwife consultation takes place on the premises of MVZ Dr Geisenhofer and is therefore closely linked to the Dr Geisenhofer Women's Clinic. This means you benefit from short distances and optimally coordinated care - from pregnancy to birth.
